Now that things have settled down a bit how are the local small businesses doing?
Two of my favorites are JJ and the soggy peso. Are they up and running? I sure hope to see JJ's smiling face next time we come down for a taco!

Soggy Peso open and moderately busy couple days ago - water an issue so porta potties on site.
My first visit but things seem quiet overall - Evies Tuesday was a bit sparse even with the Twins, I guess more people coming down is needed.
Town is cleaning up well and crews seem to be working hard on pipelines !

We have been here since one day before Jimena. Business is slow for everyone if my observations are correct. More people are arriving now (October), but the town is still slow compared to previous trips.
There is good news however. The water is on in most (I think) areas, and there is no waiting for service in restaurants and bars. Weather is cooler and the humidity is lowering.
Come on down. The place is peaceful, quiet, and mucho fun.

| JJ didn't have much if any damage but he goes on vacation out of town this time of year. At the moment, I am in the US and don't know if he is back yet.

| Yes, JJ's is open and doing well. Had dinner at Blackie's last night and it was full...not an empty table in the restaurant. Had lunch at La Conquista last week and same thing...almost all tables were full...at the Mexican lunch hour that is....

| Careful. I was given a very dangerously huge Big Donkey the other day at JJs. I loaded it with three types of salsas which started to burn my mouth. My only option to quell the fire was to continue to inhale heaping mouthfuls. By the time I was finished I was almost as big as JJ himself. Order with caution!
