hello folks,
I just parked my boat at a marina south of the Sea of Cortez and am wondering of options for getting money down there to pay the fellow keeping an eye out for my boat and the marina store that he has to buy items in on occaision.
Original intent was to pay my caretaker by wire transfer to his bank account, but he balked at the amount of info my bank required to wire the money. I figure mail a check or money order would do it but wonder if there is any alternate/better way.
Haven't asked the store yet how they want to do it because I am not so fluent in espanol that I can just crank out the question, have to compose it carefully and then run it by my espanol editors.
Just thought I would check here. Thanks.

Send $ by Western Union. Use the form "To Mexico" and check "en Minutos". Addressed to your Man (or whoever you want) in San Carlos, Sonora Mexico.
When you pay you will receive a Secret number.
Call your man in SC and tell him who sent the $, from where it was sent, the Secret # and amount in Pesos.
He can pick up the money at Banamex in SC within an hour or so.

| Set up a normal bank account with atm access at your bank in the US. Put the money in the account and send the atm card and pen number to the person that will access the money. No extra fees other than the usual atm fee. He can withdraw at any bank. Last edited on Sat Sep 19th, 2009 04:30 am by mesa
