Not all hope is lost!!
we were really really lucky this weekend, considering the reports at roll call on the tourament. We found some sea weed patches and trolled them all day long Sat & Sunday.
Total for the 2 days was 10 nice dorado and 1 Wahoo, we lost another wahoo on a clean cut leader.

Great job PK! Eddie must be living right to have gotten you as a captain. The Don's released a huge Blue Marlin in the same area you were in on Sunday. Norman said it was easily over 300 lbs. Come on in Doc Marlin and tell us about the visit from the man in the blue suit! We can't wait for the newsletter!

No wonder the fish under that patch were so scared! PQ had been there. The patches weren't in defined lines, but if you followed the area they were in general directions. Sometimes the fish had to depart a bit to chase the flyers too. Great to see the wahoo can still show up. It's worth dropping a jig deep on the patches and keeping your eye on the fishfinder as you pass. In Hawaii we'd sometimes have to drop 2-400 ft below floaters and FADs to find suspended tuna. Not sure what the ticket is generally for wahoo ... maybe drop a lure deep upcurrent and rip it up quickly through the area.

| We caught the big Blue on Doc Marlin on a ballyhoo/jethead trolled on the WWB. BIG FISH!!!!!! She made on incredible run at the boat and rode a wave with her head in the air for a good 10 seconds heading straight at the boat. Arms are still sore!!! She swam away very healthy after release! Keeps you coming back!! Fernando, I need a toothy critter!!!

Here is the rest of the story -That Sea Weed Patch had a yellow rope on it...The boat next to us caught 4 Tuna up to 25 pounds under it.We trolled it for over an hour for a big Zip..Then Fernando shows up and gets a Double Wa-Hoo under it..Eddie what were you saying " But it cant be living right it must be Devinne intervention. It has been said that God takes care of fools and drunks and i am a double qualifier" Safe to say I also qualify I wonder what happened ?

We found the yellow rope by floating alone and still had 3 lines knocked down. We had a 4-line knock down 10-min later on a weed patch. I figured they were peanut dorado so I never down sized from #9 hooks and skirted ballyhoos. Boy would we have loved YF for dinner last night . To think, I had to push cedar plugs out of my way to find different color skirts.....
