INSCRIPCIONES AL TORNEO DE PESCA INTERNACIONAL CORONA-SAN CARLOS 2009 1.- El registro se realizara el día 18 de Septiembre iniciando a las 10 am, en las oficinas del Hotel Marina Terra de San Carlos, cerrándose el 18 de Septiembre a las 6 pm. 2.- El importe de la inscripción, con derecho a participar en los dos días será el siguiente: $ 580 dlls (son quinientos ochenta dólares) por embarcacion ( incluye 4 pescadores) hasta el día 15 de Agosto de 2009. $ 700 dlls (son setecientos dólares) por embarcacion ( incluye 4 pescadores) hasta el día 17 de septiembre de 2009. 3.- Todos los cambios de pescadores, de un equipo a otro, y un pescador adicional por embarcacion deberán cubrir un costo de $100.00 dlls (son cien dólares) hasta el jueves 27 de Agosto de 2009. The Sportfishing and community of San Carlos is generally very appreciative of new events that will improve the economy of San Carlos. In the interest of helping you create a more successful tournament, I would like to make the following suggestions: 1/At the (high) cost you are proposing, there will certainly be only one angler per boat (e.g why cut your chances of winning in half by having two anglers per boat??) This does not make the tournament very attractive to those who believe that fishing is often a team event between the captain, crew, and anglers. 2/Other successful tournaments in San Carlos and elsewhere have a boat entry fee, and possibly some smaller amount per angler if not included in the main boat entry fee. 3/You did not mention the jackpots, and typically after the basic boat entry fee is paid, there are jackpot ranges such as $100, $500, $1000 which allow the boat team to decide how much they wish to spend. You can also have awards for the "top anglers" in addition to the team awards. 4/Most tournaments dedicate a % of the total pot to local charities in San Carlos, and that encourages more boats and teams to particpate. Is this tournament giving back to San Carlos any of the pot? I hope you will consider these suggestions and comments. Dick (Team Margarita Sportfishing) |

You corect Dick bet the 580 dlls is for 4 anglers the entry is for boat no for person bet if the fish win is the angler to win the prices and the team dividen and go dialy jackpot and one pot for releses. For the entry include 4 tshirt 4 hats and couple case of beers and 4 dinner tickets and tickets for the concert of mexican music PD,. great fishing yesterday becose you team and my team we hooked more fish the rest of the boats diferent tecnicques the best |

Sorry Bob ..... I have mounted a 357 cal. remote control flying gaff on the '00'. I will be fishing alone (vichy) using the latest techniques I am learning while touring Japan. Sheer skill and technology can surely beat a 'Lucky Duck'. Approach at your own risk?! I have installed prop knives to cut longlines and fishing lines from boats that stray too close. My new girlfriend has a helicopter and a has agreed to fly as a spotter for me, Marcos will fly as co-pilot. Steve already said I cannot ask Heather to be on my team? Shelia's fishing with Wade ....... I mean Steve is. I may pull out if 'flanda wanda' enters. He's just too good! I'm a little afraid of 'Team Talemon' also! Oh yeah ..... it's "Pez Caro' that has me really nervous!! He's so damn good at rigging those circle hooks for Morgan. Mind you, this all depends if my E-TECH is running!!!!!! Te amo Pilo You can yell at me all you want but I am not totally loco. I fished the Yacht Club tournament this year with….J-hooks! I fish several kill tournaments a year. No problem living with myself. I have never stood on a chair and preached C-hooks or cast dispersions on anyone who does not use them. I am sorry you think they are “stupid”. I remember thinking cell phones were stupid. My father swore that Rock and Roll would never last. Change is coming and it is not a bad thing. Think outside the box. BTW I have taken Marlin to the smoke house. I have even enjoyed smoked Marlin on crackers. I have tried to call you several times. My questions were directed to Sr. Felix. Sr. Felix works for a company that is promoting your boss’s tournament. With the exception of #3, all of the following questions were asked before me. Again, here are the questions: 1) Is there a release division in your tournament 2) Is your tournament donating any money to a local charity? 3) Why does your tournament website have close up photographs of dead Velas? Primero no me gustan los jotos,and you no need say te amo por que no soy mayate ok,and I just come back from Hermosillo and we have mitin whit my boss and the comitte we discuss few points about the tournament and we dismiss NO RELESES DIVISION ( long discuss bet pictures no acepted in this tournament the rules ready ) SORRYYYYYY THIS IS A KILL TOURNAMENT, you want to win you need to bring the fish to the scale . And YES is go BIG DONACIONS my boss say bet the comitte is how be designete the places to give the donacions and be locals. Myself toll the comitte couple places bet all the anglers tell now is ready to many tournaments give to much to RESCATE and I am recomend maybe some places and RANCHITOS or ORFANATORY with OLD PEOPLE( sorry boys and DICK N ). (Yellowtail tournment,Yacht club tourn,blow out, labor day., and cantina cup) IS A BIG MONEY COLECTOR, This go diferent pleases to donacions I now this go make problems bet we ready discuss this and I think some places need lot of help. First, let me apologize to the Billfish Blowout for diverting attention away from your tournament. I know you guys are working hard to get your event rolling. I was trying to take this discussion to a quiet corner off the net but was summarily and publicly dismissed. Knowing that Pilo has a strong hatred for the Cantina Cup, and for whatever reason would pin my post back on the Cantina Cup, I called Matt Blair after my first post, prior to any replies and resigned my position in the tournament. Sorry to steal your thunder Pilo…it’s just me. I know poking a bully with a stick is not smart but I am not going to back down or be dismissed. If anyone cares, here are the reasons for my first post: I found it odd that the company in charge of promoting this tournament was soliciting early registration money for a tournament with no rules….OK call me crazy. I found it odd that the company in charge of promoting this tournament had no mention of a beneficiary. And finally, it blew my mind that a company that so graciously breathed life into the Billfish Blowout would promote a website with portraits of dead sailfish hanging by their tails. I reread my first post and did not see any mention of boycotts, circle hooks or any comparison to the dreaded Cantina Cup, nor have I PM’d anyone. I did email Sr. Felix with my questions, as have several other organizations. Pilo, thank you for answering my questions and supporting our local charities. I am sorry you will not take my calls or if I offended you with my attempt at gay humor. You used to have a sense of humor. While admittedly numbering under 100, I have successfully released every billfish I have ever caught. If the tournament had a release division, I would fish that way.
