Entering Bahia del Sol, El Salvador can be quite an experience. The guide was able to snap a shot of Madwenowe going over the barr. Pics can be deceiving. Even thought it looks tranquilo this was 10-12 foot surf. All hatches, portals etc. had to be secured. We had to use engine power at full bore to stay ahead of the breakers. Once past the barra the bahia entered into a beautiful anchorage. When I first researched this place I saw pics of the entry and I did not want to stop over here..but I am sure glad we did. This place is a fantastic stop over. I was talking to a cruiser today who said she stopped in for at least a week. That was eight years ago.

In my next post I will also elaborate on the meaning of Intense.

You guys have gone a long ways. You'll be in Panama before you know it! Keep 'em coming Burt...

Bob, my wifes dad says to say hi and thanks again for letting him use your fishing pole during the holidays.

Burton,

Finally register so I could see your pic's. Have been following you on the forum and talking with Mike. Did you hear us leave San Carlos? As we passed where you were anchored I blew my air horns. (sounds like a locomotive) Sounds like you guys are having a heck of a trip, I know Mike would sure like to be with you.

                                                                   Best to You,  Bob
