I am having trouble with my login.  Everyday I have to ask for a new password to be able to login, it works for that day and then the next day it doesn't. I have allowed this sites cookies.  This morning I finally re-registered.  What do I need to do or what am I doing wrong.

Thanks. :D

Probably not doing anything wrong.  This may be caused by a combination of things including updates from security or software vendors (Microsoft?) and resetting security levels in the system.  Then you try and login and wind up not being able to or getting the error message.  That winds up in the temporary internet files stored on the computer so instead of looking for a live site it looks in the cache and finds the file that did not work.  We've had some success in resolving these issues by clearing the temp files and cookie settings periodically.  In IE, go to Tools>Internet Options>General and then delete the cookies and files under Temporary Internet files.  Then close IE and reopen it.  If you bookmarked the link to the board that will still be there, but you will not be trying to open a corrupted file from the computer's cache.  Deleting cookies and temp files will not harm your system but is simply routine preventative maintenance.

Thanks I will try that, I haven't cleaned those up for a week or so, so it could be the problem.

I had this same issue using Firefox, even when I clicked on the login link to "reset this browser's cookies." I found I had to go into Firefox and clear cache and reset cookies. Then I was able tolog back in.

Have had same problem. Bart's procedure works. It is exactly what I do at least once a week. :)

Also Bart. Are you aware that your summary forum page ( topical forums) has been out of sync. with the individual forums for about two weeks.

Regards. L.

Summaries and forum pages are displaying just fine from here and all appear to be in synch by date/time/etc.  PM if you are having a problem cuz I'm not seeing it.
