Last spring, while in a slip at Marina San Carlos, the auxiliary diesel on my sailboat wouldn't start, an apparent ignition problem. We talked to one of the dive boat captains (near whom we had previously docked and gotten to know), who recommended his brother, Capt. Juan Tirado. He said Juan would be at my boat the following morning at 0800. Juan was at the boat next morning at 0745, dove into the engine compartment, found corroded wiring to the starter, and fixed it quickly. He also fixed the wiring to the tachometer, so it now works. I don't remember the cost precisely, but it was around US 40 dollars. I was happy, and would use him again. His phone is 622-197-0722.
I'm sure Marina San Carlos also has electricians, but I have no experience with them.
Good luck.

Please give us feedback on your experience. Good people are good to know about, bad ones are good to avoid.
