Just got back from visiting Santa Rosalia for the 1st time. I couldn't find any contact info before we left so I brought some back.
The newer of the two marinas is part of the Escalas Nauticas SINGLAR project. Carlos Bareno is the Operations Manager. Marina Office is (615) 152 17 68. Email is barenocota@yahoo.com. The marina has 20 slips with water/power hookups, A/C internet room, pool/spa, bar. The cruisers that were there say security is very good. Everyone was very helpful.
Daily rate is 10p/day/foot. 4 days gets you a week. 120p/foot/month.
It's not any cooler over there...

Thanks for the info, Wild Bill.
Any pics of where the new marina is in relation to the breakwater entrance? Or maybe a description?

The new Marina is just past the ferry dock as you enter the break water, it is a great facility but I still like the old marina to, but my kids love the pool at the new one!!!!

The attached photo was taken from the mining museum that overlooks the harbor. The new marina and fuel dock can be seen just inside the breakwater. The "old" marina is at the far end of the harbor.
I would feel confident arriving at anytime day or night. The town lights up the harbor enough to navigate. There are constant red/green entrance lights and blinking white range lights to "line you up". There is an old report of shoaling off of the outermost breakwater but I cut it pretty close and never saw less than 30'. Boats can anchor off of the "old" marina in 15' of water. The bottom is a black sludge left over from the mining days.

Thanks for the info, gentlemen.
Is there any kind of courtesy docking at the new or old marinas if you just want to conduct business in SR and not spend the night?

I don't think that there is an courtesy dock at either. When you only have 20 and 10 slips it hard to have an courtesy dock. You can anchor off (100yards) the old Marina and no charge for a dink landing.

Oh yeah, one other VERY important thing. Is there dockside diesel in the harbor or are you lugging cans to the Pemex?

The fuel dock should be open by now, was not when we left in March kept hearing it was open then. The old marina will bring fuel down to the dock and they have an hand pump to tranfer the fuel to your boat. Also the gas station is only 1/2 block from the marina to hand jug.
