This was taken over by trailer sailer.com a long time ago.
There home page does not work either.

Looks like the resource page may be gone forever but the Sea

of Cortez forum still works.

Try this link for the forum.

http://bbs.trailersailor.com/forums/cortez/index.cgi

There are posts there but it is not very active.

Wow, that's a huge shame.  It was the site that turned me on to the Sea of Cortez and SC.

the cruizecortez.com site is archived on the wayback machine:

Tod Johnson, webmaster of Cruisecortez, passed away a couple of years ago. He also did trailer sailor, but i thought he sold that one before his death. I don't know what happened, but perhaps his widow was unable to maintain the site. I actually lived with Todd for a while when he was developing the site. I helped with some of the writing, and taking care of the kids (his daughter and my son). He was only in his early 40's when he passed. He has been truly missed.

Unfortunately, none of the links on the discussion board index are working.

That is the nature of the archive and they don't keep all of the site.

For joredhead, if you still have contact with Todd's family I'd love to talk to her about that web site.

Thanx

Unfortunately, I have no contact with Todd's family. His widow moved back to her home town, which I cannot remember. We only had brief contact such as at his daughter's soccer games. The mother of his child and I were friends for a time, but are no longer, and I'm not certain as to whether or not she would know anything about Todd's wife, either. She also had nothing to do with the site. For me, the saddest of all is no longer being able to see his daughter. However, I know from my son who attends the same high school she does that she is doing fine and is quite a beautiful teenager.

I also wish I had printed all of the pages on the site. I do have a few hard copies of pics, including ones not on the site when our kids were so young (4 1/2 and 7!). Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

The effort and reply are appreciated.  That was a great web site and it's a shame to see it go to the archives.

Thanx

Bart
