Hi Gang hope this works in this section... it is about sailing...
Where in/around the SC area is the better locations for Kite sailing w/ the SW wind this time of year?
Will be in SC for the weekend and would like to sail if the wind is up. Right now it looks like SW is all they are calling for. Up to this point all the sailing I have done has been in front of the Soggy Paseo-

Shawn I usaully go up towards the mouth of the estuary in a southerly wind. I park next to the condominums Pilar and walk up the beach a hundred yards or so. Actually this summer I plan to try some launches over by the dolphinarium and do down winders to somewhere on San Francisco beach, perhaps La Posada. You can actually, kite a southerly at Algodones as well if you walk up the beach to the piece of land right at the point between algodones and la manga but in my experience the wind tends to be stronger at San Francisco in southerly's. bouy weather is actually calling for a light northwesterly tomorrow which means La Manga will probably be the best beach to go to. IN light North west wind La Manga can be much better than algodones plus you get some waves and a longer run and no wind shadow from Dear island.
