I have a 36' Jeanneau, sloop currently on the hard in Anacortes, WA.  My usual cruising grounds are the San Juan Islands, Gulf Islands and Desolation Sound (BC).

I'm considering sailing down the Pacific Coast and cruising the Sea of Cortez.  Because of the relative difficulty in sailing N, I don't want to take this venture unless I'm prepared to keep the boat there indefinitely.

So...

I'd like to know the cost of keeping a boat, most likely in dry storage, in San Carlos.

I also thought it might be wise to do a bareboat charter first, or do a boat exchange with someone who has a boat in the Sea of Cortez and wants to trade time aboard mine up in my cruising area.

Here is a link to the Marina San Carlos http://www.marinasancarlos.com/ and this is the link to the dry storage services here. http://www.marinasancarlos.com/seca.html

I believe it will be around 100 dollars a month for a boat of that size to be dry stored.

Sincerely Vince

Forgot to mention that we have a 30 foot hunter and a 36 foot trimaran that we bareboat charter if you are interested in cruising the area before you come here.

Thanks Vince.  As I'd hoped, dry storage is more reasonable than what I pay here. And I'm interested in your charter rates as well.  I can contact you off forum.
