In reading the previous thread about August and the jellies, I was wondering if anyone heard of this stuff and whether it works or not? My children are now deathly afraid of the ocean since my daughter got stung.

Yes, it does dramatically reduce the effects of stinging jellyfish.  But, not as well as a 1mm wetsuit.

HI,We have put together a jellyfish remedy that really works. First of all you need Vinegar..Bring a gallon and if hit with a jelly just pour it on lberally. This destroys the stingers...Then spray the area with Solarcain spray untill the victim complains about the cold. This means you have penetrated to the nearve. Give them Benedril and within 45 minutes they are back in the water. All divers should wear full body protection in the sea of Cortez...
