Hey all,

I'm coming down for a few days, and I would love to link up with some local spearfishers for a dive or two.  I'll be staying in Navojoa from the 4th to the 11th, and in San Carlos from the 7th to the 9th.  I dive in Trinidad Bay, California--poor visibility, cold, cold water, lingcod, black rockfish, vermillion rockfish primarily.  I have a 32" AB Biller wood gun, and I typically dive 15'-30'.  I know that a gun with longer range would be better for the San Carlos area, but do you think mine would work?  Also, how are the conditions in early August?  What fish should I go after/look out for. ..  I'm chef, so I'll be looking forward to eating very well if I can catch anything.  Thanks a lot,

Galen

Hey,

no worries. I haven't come down yet. I'm not arriving until August. Even if you won't be diving that weekend (Aug 7-9), I wouldn't mind a couple tips on what to look for when I go out. . . what depth, which fish, etc.

thanks,
Galen
