| North Point and Lighthouse were the best anchorages. Quite a change since last week with most of the sargasso now gone leaving bare structure. Lobster and octupus seem to have found better hiding places. Northpoint had some serious thermoclines and my .5 mil wasn't enough below 40 feet. Current was strange often coming from several directions during the same dive. Vis was 40-50.

| 79 at 50 feet and deeper. You could feel the upwelling. We had been down to 120 feet at the same site 5 days earlier and lowest we encountered was 83 so all we had were .5 mil suits. Probably not worth wearing extra warmth because you can always come up shallower if you have to and, who knows, maybe it's different today. Call Desert Divers in Tucson, they have a shop down here and will be going to the island tomorrow.

I was at the island July 4th, just curious if the conditions have changed . Sounds like conditions are still changing from day to day.
I push around a 22# camera so I go slow. My slow moving requires me to dress a little warmer than a constant moving diver.
Thanks.
