I'll be in San Carlos for a month, May 19 to June 19. I like to shore dive (to save money) and becuase you can access many of the same dive sites from the shore that you can from the dive boats. I also have two kayaks that I dive from. This means I can access lots of good dive spots from the shore. I will be alone most of the time some I'm looking for people to dive with. I can loan you one of my kayaks and my experience with diving from kayaks (it's work but fun.)

Hey Larry,
my dad and i are going to be in san carlos from about the 24th of may till mid june. I was planning on doing a lot of diving so if you still need someone to buddy up with we can figure things out.

That sounds very cool. I actually am of similar thinking. I have a 12' inflatable and trolling motor. Great for hitting all the shore spots and saving the energy for more diving!
I don't have a definite date to come down but I am trying to soon, probably early June. How can I get in touch with you once I'm down there. Do you check in with Surface Time daily? I'm guessing you get your fills there for the day.
This will be my first time in San Carlos. Lived in Thailand and Philippines though, very curious about the Sea of Cortez.

I'm leaving tomorrow, 5/16, for San Carlos. I'll have my lap top and can check my email every day or two while there (easy-procure@qwest.net). I use Surface Time for my rentals, equipment, instructions, etc. so you can also leave a message there.
I've been going to San Carlos for the past 15 years but I have only been diving there for the past couple of years. I like it, but it's all I know. I also do a lot of fishing and kayaking while there.
Email me just before you leave so I'll know to be on the look-out for you.

Hello Larry G, soccaire, and anyone else reading this thread!
I got my dates. Will be driving down from Phoenix Fri. June 6th and driving back to Phoenix Wed. June 11th or Fri. June 13th.
I plan on staying at Gringo Pete's and diving with Surface Time. I'm also bringing a 12' inflatable with 40lb. thrust trolling motor and group 27 deep cycle marine battery for all day/night shore diving and fishing.
I dove 100's of times in Thailand and Phillipines while living there. This will be my first time diving in San Carlos. If anyone has any tips I'm all ears!
I'm looking for anyone cool, fun, and adventurous for diving, fishing, food, and drinks.
Have fun all and can't wait to get in the water!
