Try this site...
http://www.eebmike.com

Scroll down to (I think) the 5th map and you'll find what you want to know... just below the water temperature map is a conversion calculator if you need it... F to C.

Thanks Miguel... based on the map, it's between 66 - 69 degrees.

Anyone been in the water lately?  I'm curious to see if that's accurate and what the thermoclines are like.

I concur, 63 degrees a week ago and I didn't get deep, so could be colder down there.

Plan on 5-7 mm suit for diving and a hood.

Nice web site at http://www.eebmike.com.  A great deal of information.

For just water temperature, you can go directly to
http://www.osdpd.noaa.gov/PSB/EPS/SST/data/gulfcalf.c.gif
Keep in mind that the graph will generally be a few days old, but pretty close.

And of course there is always http://www.terrafin.com/ which has a finer water temperature granularity, but it is not free for the SC area.
