Need as much info as possible on whale watching and snorkeling in San Carlos area.

We are planning to visit San Carlos this September.  Is this a good time for whale watching on day cruises and/or snorkeling?  If not, what are the best month(s) for both activities?

We very much appreciate each and every reply!!!!! Thank you.

Hi Yellowstone
These topics have both been discussed in some detail on the board and there are pages on the main web site devoted to both subjects.

At the top of this page is a search box.  If you enter snorkel and whale as search terms, the previous threads will open and you can review what has already been posted.  Likewise, if you have not visited the main web site, hit the home button on the upper right of the page to open the main web site.

Having said that, September is a great month for snorkeling with warm water.  A dive skin is recommended as protection from both sunburn and stings.  Whales are usually in the area as are large pods of dolphin.  Sometimes you have to look for them.

these types of excursions are normally handled by dive shop operators so am moving this thread to the dive forum where you may get a better response.
