How is the fishing?? Since Jon has been pre-occupied I really miss his bi-weekly report. Can anyone who is in the loop keep us n=up to date?
Many thanks

Phinney...check out Bryan's report (Team Margarita Sportfishing) at http://www.scaamexico.com ...look at the Fishing Report blog. Admittedly he has been a bit pre-occupied with his wedding last weekend, but he posted a very thorough fish report today.

| Well, I think a golden rule for sierra is that they move around. We caught cabrilla again but not too many large (7#) sierra. They keep going ballistic in the Algodones Bay just off the beach. I have the kayak ready for tomorrow. I caught little pargo every cast this evening on the west end of the bay. Some better dorado were caught yesterday and the one guy I talked to had a sail up. It is warm down here!

Looks like the water is changing pretty quickly based on the SST charts...any guess on how long pelagics will hang around this year?

| I'll say through Thanksgiving. It seemed like the fish finally left last year after the water went below 70 degrees. The last dorado I heard caught was Dec. 15th. It has greened up a bit but seems to be getting a little clearer over the last few days. There is still surface temps up to 80 degrees out there. A little bubble of cool 74 degree water did come down but dissapated. Just keep the fronts out of the Southwest please!
