I was out today again. The water is really clearing up all the way to the points. There is tons of bait out there (and in the bays too). Major debris out there that should be attracting bait very soon. Problem is there aren't too many good dorado around unless they are still hanging down deep. There are a fair amount of peanut dorado out there, with the bulls getting up to 10#. We weren't out for the long haul but found fish in close. One sail was just four miles out. Had a few more come in on the reef. (Even a small tuna was caught there yesterday.) Almost had one marlin to the boat just about nine miles out. The fish are taking a little finicky which is probably why a lot got off during the tournament. I heard a fair number of stories of big ones lost. We had a weighable marlin get off each day along with a few sails, and many misses .. just landing a small sail and marlin. A fair number of fish were released and some good dorado were caught. Things are looking up!

All sorts of sea life out there - packs of lounging seals, turtles, whales, and porpoise. The hills are green and starting to bloom. Now if only the temperatures could drop a little faster!

Fishing was epic in the tournament with way too many misses. We had to go a long way 35-47 miles towards tortuga but the good news is they are out there and there were not too many fish killed. get down and fish because it is only getting better. Thanks to Bryan, Harry and Gabby for a fun Tournament and congratulations to Harry Fedler for His First time Baiting and releasing a 160 lb marlin
