Finally I had the chance to get out after a few days of shoveling mud, and finally the fish were ready to play.

We did good with a big dorado and a nice fat blue marlin, we lost one more marlin and missed a couple more. Fish were coming in agressive on the lures and then switching to the baits.

So, if you are considering coming down fishing, go for it...San Carlos needs the tourists right now and altough the town is in rough shape, access to the marina and the ocean are available. Lets go and chase some fins

and then this beautiful fish came into our spread and Gerardo hooked him up after a looong and multiple drop back.

I wish we were fishing the Corona tournament today!

Now that's the best incentive I've seen to get this mud out of town and go fishing!

Great Pics, Fernando, thanks for posting!

Although I agree with Fernando.....and we do need the tourist to put everone back on a paying basis...the infustructure at this time is nonexistent at best. So be prepared to take a bucket bath etc.  Right now the town can't handle it. God knows hopefully it will be soooon though.

That's good to hear! Drinking gringos may not work as hard, but they are usually more generous

Hi Mark, Thx! on the tal comment! LOL

Water still too warm, but now with some fish in it, we were marking 86 to 88 most of the day, but we found a god concentration of fish there for a while where we had several bites, including this beauty.

There is cooler water a little further out. Those fish would probably jump in the boat if there were any boats out! 83-84 degrees and clear blue at 30 miles!!!!!!
