True, Big Marlin die sometimes, and it's a tragedy, but that's sportfishing. It's happened to me on a tail wrap. Not sure that hanging it on the lift is all that bright of an idea these days though. Better to just quietly carve it up, give some to the less fortunate, and get some smoked.
The days of hanging them up and smiling about it are over thankfully.
