Headed out at 0600 pn a 270 heading in 2-3' swells. Foung the real blue water at 26 miles. Really started getting rough, 3-5' swells with winds blowing about 15 kts. We were right behind the thunderstorm that was moving west. The water was the best I have seen this year, really lt. blue. Saw lots of dolphin and a few whales. Got a knock down by a marlin at 265/30. Got him to the boat and broke off at the stern. Got a nice bull dorado 262/27. We had a couple other blind knock downs with no luck. Lost the really blue water at 22 miles. Was fairly nice blue water until 8 miles. Still lots of skipjack in the area.
The water out 3-5 miles was clear, but what not what I would call blue. A fair amount of sea life out there. We didn't find any major temp. breaks, but the water way out there is definately holding fish.
