I was down 3 weeks ago....green water had very low clarity and blue water was at about 26miles.
What are current conditions and rangers?
Have a great weekend...I'll be there on the 10th.

There are some fish in close. I thought our day was over yesterday and we caught a sail two miles out. Then another suspicious bite and one halfway in before it felt like the hook slid off the bill. I saw a few a half mile off Doble and my crew caught two out of six that came up all found within three miles of shore during the tournament. I've seen lots of fish including marlin within six miles.
Finally a day of peace after getting beat up for three days. We were wondering about the fishing yesterday enjoying the lake-like conditions when I saw a ripple. A dorado can charging in and Uncle Bob had a little more than a small dorado on for his first fish ever over ten pounds. A nice 35# bull. Later we passed a nice weedpatch with about fifty. I think I jigged up the world's smallest wahoo at two pounds! I'm not sure if we didn't see a giant sunfish under the patch? I don't know what else it could have been.
Look near the current line with all the trash tossed overboard by the purse-seiner. I must have seen over eight pass by and most seemed to be headed to the San Marcos area. What are those guys up to??? Now I know why there is so much trash all the time on the beach. They just toss it overboard. This guy was headed straight in with but a couple hours to go and just decided to throw the whole bag of trash overboard. Absolutely disgusting.
My cousin is feeling better today so off to the other side!!! Fifth straight day of fishing. The back is sore and I think I am coming down with a case of "fish brain". After passing four large marlin lately, maybe today is the day to meet a real "player".
