Long time visitor to San Carlos but usually between June and September.  Great time fishing the usual suspects, dorado, marlin and sails. My fishing partner is gone, Don Perlmutter(SaraRose), what a great freind and teacher.   My schedule is full through September and I could use some advice on the prime time to fish for Yellowtail.   With airline pricing so high I can use miles if I book far enough in advance.  Any help is appreciated.

We all miss Don. Only he could probably tell you when. Any time from December to April could be good for the Tail.

Dec to April, OK.  Maybe I will come in October anyway.  Marlin is 1189 lbs caught in Bermuda last year by my friend Captain David Soares.
