I'll be down next week and would like to fish with ballyhoo and maybe some mullet. Who sells these in San Carlos or should I pickup some in Tucson on the way down?

Jon at JonJen charters usually has ballyhoo. He has an office there at the marina and an ad on this site. I have not seen mullet for sale. I have actually been looking for live or fresh sardines in the area....if you find any let me know

In Tucson, Saguaro has bally hoo in 3 packs for $14.99, so if they have it 12 for $20 there it is better to purchase there.

I would bet the 3 packs are rigged, versus unrigged.

Thanks to all, Steve I'll take you up on the "rigging for beer" class. I've only watched rigging once live and on utube. I'll be by, what brand of beer do you like, how big of hooks should I use, do you chin-weight them and will 60 lb. fluoro leaders be ok for short runs to catch stuff within 10 miles?

I Certainly hope that your teaching CurriCulum is not limited to rigging with J-hooks.  The Don's would not approve!;)  Don't forget the C in Catch-22.

Just what I was going to ask. (Don't worry Dad, just don't want to see the freezer empty one day). Will someone be delivering? Is the price good?

p.s. Will send off my circle hook rig pictures later.

I'm coming down on Friday and could transport an order if you can put it together that soon. We'll be leaving from Chandler (Elliot & 101). Let me know.
