I know a couple of guys that fish from the breakwater in Marina San Carlos every day. 3 times a day. Of course there are Mexican locals that fish from lots of different places. They all seem to catch fish. I can't tell you what or how they catch them. The gringos are casting buzz bombs and when they are biting catch corvina and sierra. They seem to run in streaks and have great days and some days just a little better than working.

There is no better place to be then San Carlos. I would be happy to take you fishing on my boat on a shared cost basis. I have an excellent Captain/fishing guide.

My Captain charges $600.00P a day for 4 hours or 8 hours. While trolling the boat will burn about 4 - 5 gallons per hour at an average cost of $2.45 usd a gallon. Bait will run about $6.00 usd for bottom fishing. I don't think you'll want to bottom fish at that time of year as the bill fish (Sail, Marlin and Dorado) should be biting at that time. But that's your choice.
Los Jitos is a good motel in the middle of town. I think their rates are about $39.00 usd a day.
Tides do not effect the fishing.

Call me: 227.0071 or if you have a car come over. I live at 65 Bahia, it's the corner house at the turn to go back into town. Above the carport is a sign, "Kasa de Klein"
The other alternative is direct e-mail: mexicomel@sancarlosmx.com
