The San Carlos Billfish Series sponsored by The Sea of Cortez Boat Club Is here.
A season long boat competition where any boat fishing a San Carlos Mens Tournament is eglible. Different fisherman can fish each tournament. All points are awarded to the regestered boat. You can not transfer your entree from one boat to another.
Regester your boat for $100 for the entire 2008 Billfish Series. One entree per boat max. The Sea of Cortez Boat Club will match the pot and there will be a 60/30/10 payout
Points will be awarded for each tournament a boat finishes in the top 10 in. (4 max)If you enter all 5 tournaments this season. You will get the points only from your top 4 tournament finishes. In case of a tie, the tie breaker will be the combined total amount of tournament points awarded during each individual tournament based on each individual tournaments individual point system. If still tied all boats tied will split that portion of the pot.
The 2008 Bill Fish Series Point system
1st Place = 100 points
2nd place = 90 points
3rd place = 80 points
4th place = 70 points
5th place = 60 points
6th place = 50 points
7th place = 40 points
8th place = 30 points
9th place = 20 points
10th place = 10 points
The points will be awarded based on the official results from each tournament once they are varified by each tournaments officials.

Am curious. Are women not allowed to fish as an angler in tournaments in San Carlos?

| Of course they can and do. It could have been worded differently but it was just to distinguish that the Memorial Day Labies tournament did not count.

Thanks for that. The word "men" was mentioned twice in the announcement, making it sound like it was a "good ole' boys only'" tournament. And in this day and age . . . . .

Actually it is a boat tournament. You need to enter a boat. We did not get it started in time to include the LIFT. Please accept my apology for that.
If you would like to enter your boat befor the Billfish Blowout then you will be in the 2008 series.
Thanks for your input. I welcome any other thoughts.
In regards to the top 10 finishers of the tournament. I need to see how the poeple that have entered the series finished. We will award points to the top 10 who have entered. They may not necessarily be in the top 10 of that individual tourney.

The first tournament is in the books and the Point standings are as follows
Lucky Ducks = 100
Reel Loco = 90
Catch 22 = 80
Predator = 70
Sassy Lady = 60
Shady Lady = 50
Rebel and EZ Money = 35 each
Kryptonite = 0
Pez Vela = 0
FYI Pez Vela and Kryptonite did not enter until Sunday evening so we will start counting them in with the Billfish Blowout.
Reminder we will only be counting the best 4 tournaments so these are going to be changing right up to finish of the Cantina Cup.
Still time to get in all entrees need to be in priot to the Billfish Blowout start in July 5th 7am. We will be at registration for the BLOWOUT 
Right now there is $2,000 in the pot
