Well I was dead wrong about Marlin/ Dorado by Mid April...This north wind has killed us ...But on a good note we have had 2 great days at the Island Catching Yellow tail...Jon-Jen boated 6 fish yesterday , C-22 Pez-vela caught boiling YT. with some fly fisherman..today last I heard Jon-Jen and C-22 Pez-vela both had 6 nice fish in the box and had both lost several others..Captain Gerardo told me on the Radio they were boiling every were he looked...1 more week for Dorado ???

What are the surface temps around the island right now? Inshore by Algodones?

What are you catching the yellows on. I'm guessing iron, but surface or jigging? What are the hot colors?

Sure enough the one lure I took off first thing in the morning and never tried I guess was working - naranja. We hooked nothing trolling except for one that I casted to and snagged. Got bored and stopped a little outside of everyone off the north ridge and hooked two to five every drift.

Coming in at sixteen knots, I looked back to see an Orca ten feet back in the wake! He surfed with us for a few minutes, coming to within five feet of the boat. He must have been picking up the scraps.

Bryan- we did very well at the Island Yesterday Also..Plus Had 3 Orca swimming with the boat Like Dolphin...It was very cool and we had a Camera..My clients promised me they would e-mail me the Pic's
