I have been traveling to Baja for many years and I am interested in pulling my 19' center console down to San Carlos from San Diego for a change of scenery.  I have been looking at your forum but I need some help / answers.

1. How many launch ramps are in the area?

2. Do you really need a TIP for a sportfisher?  I have never heard of this before and have never been asked for one and we have been to most marinas in Baja.

3.  What is a nice motel where you can park your trailer?  I am used to Baja style motels that are usually reasonable.  Any suggestions?

4.  I am used to launching once while we are in an area and docking for the week then parking the trailer at the motel.  Is this routine in San Carlos?

5.  Does anyone have suggestions for fishing spots?  Jurel, Dorado, Marlin, etc.  Any Gps coordinates or landmarks?  How far offshore?

6.  Do you use sabiki's for bait outside the marinas?

7.  Are there roosterfish?  If so, when?

Thanks in advance,
Dodo
