Hi there, Great forum you have here, very informative. I've searched back through the threads so I have some idea of what to expect. I've been to SC, but its been over 10 years ago and things can change. At that time I camped on the Catch 22 beach and caught a few fish trolling from the yak. I remember the wind was a problem.

I plan on being down there about the first week of March with my ocean kayak and want to fish, so I'm looking for info about what fish to expect then and where might be best to try. I'm thinking not only SC, but also the area around Tastiota and down (I know access can be a problem). I would  especially like to get into some yellowtail if they are still around then and accessible. I am pretty well geared up for trolling or jigging and got into some good fishing on the Baja 2 years ago...but the yellowtail eluded me.  Also, I'm set up for camping but wouldn't mind getting a place for a week if its convenient to the fishing... don't need much as all I'll be doing is fish, eat, sleep. Any info/ideas would be appreciated.  Thanks in advance... Chris
