San Carlos will be well represented in Costa Rica next week. Team Predator and Team Muy Salsa will be striking fear in the hearts of the Los Suenos billfishing community. We are part of the 50-team circle hook only tournament. I don't know if they post daily results but the website is: http://www.lstournaments.com/startpage.html
We plan to make San Carlos proud...or at least work on our tan!
By-the-way, the rum down around the equator is real good so if we don't post results during the week please forgive us. Stay warm!

Go get 'em boys! Make us proud, and keep your heads on fishing, and stay away from the bait that swims on the land.

News from Costa Rica
You could hear the sucking sound from Team Muy Salsa across the Pacific. We raised 9 fish in 3 days. Out of those fish in the spread we managed to boat 5. That put us third from last in the tournament field. Long days watching other boats catch fish. Most days we had boats at all points on the compass around us fighting fish, but no joy. We even managed to get a Marlin DQ'd by our IGFA observer. We did everything short of human sacrifice to change our luck. Doubting ourselves, we compared notes with other boat regarding spread presentation, baits, lures and trolling speed. All were consistent with the tournament leaders. The only reason we were not last was because we hooked a double with two minutes left before lines out on the last day.
Team Predator faired much better. They totaled 3-Marlin and 14-Sail for the tournament. They ended up in the middle of the pack for the tournament. They were 3rd in points on the last day!
Here is a link to the tournament results: Los Suenos in drop dead beautiful, the weather was cool and rainy and man on man did that rum help dull the pain.
Alaska Bill is now the full time Captain of the Muy Salsa. Don't let our record put any doubt on his ability as a great captain. The Muy Salsa is a 65' Hatteras that is available for charter in Los Suenos. We enjoyed good luck prior to the tournament. Muy Salsa has a great crew including a full time chef. Let me know if you are interested in a charter as I will put you in touch with the powers that be.

Nice catch Mike!
Let me re-phrase before Calvert or Austin chime in: 'man-o-man' not 'man on man' ...... not that there is anything wrong with that ( to quote Jerry Seinfield ).
