What is the cost to get connected to a directv in S/C?

First you need a receiver, dish, and subscription. You need to visit Directv's site to get a subscription (it must be for a US address). You can get a dish and receiver on ebay, craigslist or at Best Buy, etc. Once you have that it will cost you about $50-$100 to get it installed locally. You need a 1 meter dish for the best reception in San Carlos. You can get a 1 meter dish in SC, but it will cost you more ($200+?).
You are probably talking about $300-$600 to get started depending on what you choose (HD, DVR, new, used, etc.).
