| This might not help but soemthing to look into. A few years ago I switched to oil-bathed bearing. They have really turned out to be great. The trailer runs cooler and no more repacking after the trailer sits in the snow all winter, Not very expensive either. In fact due to no repacking they have saved me money.

I live full time in San Carlos and don't expect to have many problems with snow. The boat goes in and out of the water twice a year. Thank you for you input but I don't think I don't need another type of bearings.

| No problem, best of luck. Mostly posted it in case others that might travel long distances have thought about them but didn't know anyone that had them.

| almost any mechanic in Mexico that works on wheels and such suould be able to help you out. I've had to have emergency wheel repairs , axles, bearings, etc. in Mexico without a problem. The price is usually pretty good too. I have Bearing Buddy axle greasers on all of my trailers, but salt water eventually tales it's toll.

Check with Miguel at Marina Real yard Bill... he replaced a few for me but if you do not have the bearings it won't be to cheap... I think he charge me about 45 US per but supplied the parts and knew I had to trailer the boat back to the States that day.

I dropped a bearing buddy and forgot about it. Lunched a shaft and bearing about the time I crossed the border.
Now I have 4 shiny new bearing sets and 1 new axel. Repack is my best friend!

I found a guy to do them and the bearings. They are done. Hope they will last another 5 years just in and out of the water twice a year.
Thank you all for all the info and leads.

| Rinse 'em with fresh water and keep 'em greased.
