I am planning on visiting San carlos in the Fall, and would like to know what is the smallest suitable fishing boat that would be recommended for fishing in the area. I have a 13 ft deep hulled Valco with a 15 horse motor. Would that be safe enough for the areas waters. Thanks, Ron from carson City, Nv.
I do a lot of fishing out of a 10 1/2 foot RIB with a 9.9 hp motor and do fine. The real issue is that the problem is usually the Archer and not the Arrow. There are many days I cannot fish because the water is too rough for my boat size but on the other hand there a many days I catch a lot of fish. Just use common sense and good safety gear and you will have lots of fun.
