Mon the 26th was a perfect Day, we were at San Antono point, and from 7:00 am. until 8:00 am. I have never seen so many yellow tail boiling in my life, what a thrill .we put 5 nice fish in the box, and were home by 9:30, Sushi tonight, there were lots of boats out I would guess 30 or so and from what I heard on the Radio all boats were doing very well..tight lines and happy holidays  Steve

Great News Steve!  Hope the Yellow Tail hang around for awhile.  We are headed down and should arrive about the 2nd for 3 months.  I can hardly wait.  Hope to meet  you sometime while we are there.  Will be on dock 8 at Marina Real.

I was just wondering if the yt bite you talk about  is common. Do you see boils often around SC or do most of the time do you fish the island. We are trying to decide wheather to come to SC or to go to Kino  does anyone have any info ?

Spunky- It has been my experience that yellow tail fishing During the winter at the Island is fairly consistent, how ever like all fishing there are some slow days.

Unlike the Island ,San Antino point seams to turn on and off like a light swicth, I spoke with a friend that fished there on the 25th,who saw no boils and caught no fish..I was there on the 26th and saw the most yellow tail boilng I have ever seen in my life, and we killed them!! My game plan is San Antino first, if its dead I go to the Island, so I guess to answer your Question, if your timming is good  San Antino for great action, if not go to the Island for consistency   hope this helps  Steve

Hi Everyone,

When fishing the YT boils, does casting metal jigs work or would you recommend casting Rapala type lures?
