Thank you all for the Cantina Cup this year! This year was the best ever (and not just because my team won).  We couldn't have taken it to the next level without our presenting sponsor, Borderland Construction. Thanks team Predator. We had so many great sponsors this year.

This would become a book if I thanked each of our sponsors individually. Please check our website and give them a chance for your business. They are great companies! http://cantinacup.com/sponsors.html

We all owe a special thank you to Bart Waldo for this great forum, and http://www.sancarlosmexico.com

Thank you to all who participated this year! Thanks to all of the volunteers, Dick & Diane Newlon for all they do!

Thanks to Ramon our Captain. He made a great call to go where few boats were going and it paid off. We have a great team, and good work you guys!

And...we all have our families to thank. Without them, we  wouldn't have been out on the water for those two days getting our butts kicked by waves, wind and water smashing across our faces. It was good.  Now I truly understand why Danno always ended with MYATDS.  Going down sea makes such a big deal when your on a small boat, in big seas. Right Down Time?

IGFA Championship is in May...I can't even wait!

Great news and photo Jon...god I love Marlin

San Carlos should be proud that we will be so well represented in the IGFA World Championship.  Team Ocean Dancer called their shot as the Cinderella team and pulled it off!  It took stones to depart from the fleet and head out to your secret area.  Way to believe in you captain and endure the waves and wind.

You guys might consider re-powering the Dancer, so you can put some distance between you and the trailing fleet.  On the other hand, you will be pretty easy to follow now with that big target painted on your back.

I don't think we need a new engine to go faster, but we are considering a roof mounted machine gun that we may use if anyone tries to get too close.

Suerte for the Ocean Dancer is a good thing. There are so many great fisherman and captains in San Carlos, it was great to be lucky last weekend! Definitely a big move to go away from the pack. Ramon had the juevos, and we had  trust in him.  It's a great community and fishery. I enjoy all of the friendships I've made along the way for this addiction of fishing.
