We have added two optional daily jackpots this year to benefit the Billfish Foundation and Casa de Paz y Hogar Orphanage in Guaymas. The price is $500 per day. 80% goes to the boat with most points for the day, 20% to charity.

Also, the price of the required jackpot is still $1,000 and price per angler to participate is $80.00.

Cash only - no checks or credit cards

See you in a couple of days and Happy Fishing!

Matt

I'm gonna play guinea pig here and run the numbers for a 4 man team as an example and let you grade my paper.  Assume a 4 man team plus captain.

4 anglers @ $80 = $320
Required jackpot= $1000
Daily jackpot=        $1000
Total Entry=           $2320 or $580 per team member

Additional social tickets for non angler companions are $20/each.
The max number of anglers per team is 6 so max cost would be $2480 for 6 man team.

Did I do the math right?

Thanx

Bart

If I can answer for Mr. Blair, your math is right on.  The $1000 daily is optional.  A team can enter one day for $500 or both for $1000.

We would love to see all teams enter the daily jackpot to benefit the Billfish Foundation, Casa de Paz y Hogar Orphanage and Team Predator.

Suerte

You guys are pretty good, but Tecate Matt was a little off on the recipients.  Your number calculations are correct. However, while Team Predator is a worthy cause, Team Ocean Dancer is predicted to be the "Cinderella Story" this year and with suerte on her side, will be receiving the the jackpot awards.

Team Ocean Dancer will be happy to donate portions of their tuna harvest to Team Predator. I know where the fish are, and I'm not telling.

Suerte to all, and bring money for the daily jackpots. It's gonna be fun! MB

Reminder to all.  For $20 bucks per guess.

Guess the amount of billfish that are caught over the two days of the Cantina Cup or be the closest without going over and have a chance to win $25,000.

Now that is a lotta cash baby.

 See you all at regestration.

Hey guys where do I send the monies,  the competition is way to much for us..Having to split first, second and third is going to be way to hard on us..

I think we should vote to have a monitor on the lead boats on Sunday...what do you think???

I am sure everyone would love this one!!!!

I think we just need a photography course.

I developed one of the tournament cameras after my last trip (I'm cheap and I never develop my digitals). I was a little concerned how a third of the pictures didn't come out at all. One picture taken on a cloudy day of a fish just under the surface barely showed that there was a fish there. I suggest taking a couple shots of each fish.

Now Jon. I think we should be talking about sweeping rather than "split"ting. I don't know who is on Abel's or your other boat. Don't worry about the fourth angler backing out, they usually just hold you back. Triple hook-ups will have to suffice. I've been shaking off all the back luck on bait hook-ups and I'm sure they'll be sucking those Twinkie snacks you ordered down deep into their bellies. On second thought, can we get one of those monitors to drive the boat. We don't have a voice operated auto-pilot yet.

(Just playing. No side bets please - we first need an investor.)

Bryan

I think that school of ladyfish is on the shoreline where Pelican Cove will be. The birds were crashing there yesterday. They have made killer baits.
