Hola Steve- At this time the weather is great, Flat Sea's ,no wind and Partly cloudy skies..Keep In Mind as of 8:00 this morning the storm is 875 miles south of us ...If the Storm does have  an effect On San Carlos ( to early to say) I would guess it will come next Tuesday ....The Storm is Tracking to warmer Water and May build in Strength...Yes we need to keep an eye on this one for the next few days

hope this helps

Here is a great site to view the weather.  Storm looks like it may not affect SC.

Jon- In My earlier Post I said  " The Storm is Tracking to warmer Water and May build in Strength...Yes we need to keep an eye on this one for the next few days"

Well It did Build In strenght and Has now turned Into a Hurricane, This one Makes me Nervous, still to early to say for sure but Next Tuesday Or Wed. all hell could break loose..I have checked The Terrafin water Temps In the Pacfic as well as the Sea of Cortez,Mucho warmer in the SOC.,  If It crosses at La-paz as shown It May hit the Sea of Cortez and build In Strenght..Time to put your Hurricane Plan in effect...

We should know Sunday for sure....my guess at this time much worse Than   HENRIETTE

From the National hurricane Center

THE ENVIRONMENT WOULD SEEM TO FAVOR SOME INTENSIFICATION...AT LEAST
UNTIL IVO ROUNDS THE RIDGE.  THE WATER IS WARM AND THE SHEAR IS
LOW..ALTHOUGH THERE IS A STABLE AIR MASS NOT FAR TO THE NORTHWEST
OF IVO.  THE INTENSITY FORECAST BEYOND 24 HOURS IS VERY
UNCERTAIN...AS A TRACK TO THE NORTH OF THE OFFICIAL FORECAST WOULD
BRING IVO UNDER INCREASED SHEAR AND INTO A MORE STABLE ENVIRONMENT.
THE OFFICIAL FORECAST IS LOWERED SLIGHTLY FROM THE PREVIOUS
ADVISORY BUT IS STILL ABOVE THE OBJECTIVE GUIDANCE MODELS.

INTERESTS IN SOUTHERN BAJA CALIFORNIA SHOULD CLOSELY MONITOR THE
PROGRESS OF IVO DURING THE NEXT FEW DAYS...AND KEEP IN MIND THAT
THERE IS GREAT UNCERTAINTY IN DAY 4 TO 5 FORECASTS.

Steve,

What information are they going off? I think they're probably largely looking at the "Naked Weatherman"'s forecasts off the Forum. Are you a paid consultant yet?
