I am afraid it is a little dissapointing compared to the areas you've fished. I have had a few good times for sea trout (corvina) and the occaisional pargo or skipjack. I have heard about good fishing for big sea trout off the area near Marina Real, but it's a long walk through the desert to get to any place you can fish. I think there is probably great fishing in the right spots, but most of the easily accessible spots are pretty poor.

I have also had mixed experiences. I have tried by the marina, emerald bay, and off the rocks at the caracol. I have caught sting rays, small bass, trout, triggerfish and a number of other fish that I could not identify. I stay in a house on the caracol and walk down the hill. There is a drop off to the water so stout line is required to pull the fish up. I have caught fish on sardines and soft plastic.
Good Luck
