My dad, Lew Myers, who passed away recently, fished out of San Carlos for 29 years.  I am looking for someone with a small boat who might be willing to take myself, my husband, and 10 year old son out on their boat beyond the bay to scatter some of dad's ashes in the sea that he loved so much.  I will gladly pay for your time, expense, etc.  We will be in San Carlos Monday, October 23 (evening) through Friday, October 27 (morning).

I'm in from Chandler.  I usually have my boat right in Marina San Carlos  and can take you an your family out any afternoon or evening which ever is better for you.  I have a 32 footer so there is plenty of room for all of you.

See you and your family in SC.

Thank you!  San Carlos regulars are so kind.  That's one of the reasons my dad loved it.  I'll hang on to your info.  My dad would really appreciate this as well.

Joe, that's lovely, thank you.  We'll work the time around YOUR fishing schedule.  My dad would NEVER want to interfere with anyone's fishing!  Look forward to meeting you in SC.

Some people may not recognize him by Lew Myers.  He was known as "Patagonia" througout the fishing community.  We miss him as a friend fisherman and former Marine.

You won't have to work arround any schedule.  My time is your time.  I just thought that you would have more time to judge the sea conditions in the PM.  Anytime is good for me.

Just glad I could help.

Several years ago, new to S.C., my good fishing buddy and I were walking down the dock toward my boat. This elderly man in a small boat ask us what we we was doing "with a grin"( I think he knew we were rookies to ocean fishing),We said going fishing. He motioned us over to his boat and began to give us all kinds of pointers. He even gave us a lure he had  made from nylon webbing from a lawn chair. He told us were to fish and how to fish and we caught a lot of fish that day. We kept in touch with him all week "patagonia, patagonia, phantom over" That was the last time we ever talk to him. I think our trips to S.C. missed his. Then this year I was walking down the dock a thought I saw your dad again after all these years, I yell out "patigonia, patigonia" And this elderly gentleman turned around with a puzzled look on his face and ask why I called him that. I went on to tell him the storey of your dad, and he told me he was your dads best friend and fishing buddy and your father had past away. We'll never forget the kindness and wisdom of your father. I only wish I was in San Carlos to help him as he help us. B.J. Mac Pherson "Phantom"

I am so touched by all your wonderful comments and stories about my dad.  It touches my heart to hear from you. Yes, my dad was also known as "Patagonia", and he was planning his October trip to SC when he passed away. Soon a part of my dad will be one with San Carlos, the sea, and the nature there he loved so much.
