That sounds like a blast! I can't wait to get down there and fish. It sounds like the Cantina Cup may be another epic tournament. Adios! Matt

My skipjack technique is kind of technical, It is easier show someone then to tell them but I will try

My captian doesn't want me to tell anybody because Kevin and Pilo will go load up there fish boxes

Location: 37.2 NM on the 182

establish a waypoint for that location

run a cloverleaf pattern through it, 7 knots

use two horse ballyhoo, set them up so they spin like a gyrocopter

when the line is well twisted bring in the ballyhoo, then let the line out with an open snap swivel, while trying to get get the twists out get ready, maybe put on the belt

thats the secret

be sure to bleed and chill your catch

if your captian or boat washer says he wants it to feed his family, don't believe him, he is just going to sell it and buy beer & cigarrettes

Wow, that's a great technique! Too bad skipjack aren't in the Cantina Cup next week, but they make great sushi....if you like greasy, chewy with a side taint sea creatures:)

I don't believe it!

Unless I see a video, like the one Fernando provided to reinforce his story last week,

I'm calling BS on the Skipjack!

Nawww, believe it.  I got a PM from somebody, who talked to somebody, who knows somebody, that got an email from somebody, who actually thinks he saw the skipjack. So it must be the truth-right?

The post said 8" SkipJack. I either don't get it, or you guys are really excited about a little 8" fish?

Explain this to me please.

Craig

My bet would be that they used the 8" skipjack as bait for the 400# marlin-I would have! ;)

the marlin was on a moldcraft

the skipjack died and was sewn up on  a  hook and in the spread within 15 minutes to be eaten by a dorado within an hour.  the Dorado got off.
