I know that this is a dumb question. But how come there are no weekly fishing reports on this site?
Even if only to say "NO ONE went fishing" or the "weather sucks" or the "fish all left for Loretto"?
I used to read http://www.bajadestinations.com weekly just to see what was going on and where.......
I found this site,, and hoped it might keep people interested in FISHING more up to date......
Don't take this wrong, but the consistency and reliability of reports leaves much to the imagination. (At least we don’t get into arguments about quads!)
(no report ==== BAD week on the water??)

FB,
Bart and I discussed this a few weeks ago - the issue is there are so many local charter boats that don't use computers daily, and there is no centralized reporting through the Marina, like in San Diego. Coupled with the erractic nature of private boat reports, it makes it difficult to compile a realistic view of what happened during the week. Most of us just watch the reports from Catch 22 Steve and Fernando - they have three charter boats and will always tell you if they are catching them. Chances are, if they aren't catching, nobody is, but if there are reports or rumors of fish from other boats, they report those too.

If someone would pay me, I'd gladly move to and live in San Carlos and be the Fish Reporter! I promise daily reports! Pictures, too! I'd spend each day scrounging around the docks, cleaning station, and of course, investigating all hearsay out on the water myself and reporting back to all of you.
Deal?

Isn't that what Steve (catch22) did?

Don't think there is any question on what we would all like to see/have and that includes me. The hard part is finding someone to do it and do it consistently. Steve and Fernando do a pretty good job as is. I'm only in San Carlos part time so I can't do it very easily. What we need is a volunteer who is probably not a charter operator and can gather and report info from both marinas. Any volunteers??
Thanx
