Of course... NOW they start to bite, after I'm back home in Tempe! %#%@& persnickety billfish!
We spent all of last week throwing everything in the book at 'em and they wouldn't give us a second glance. The final day of the Rescate Tournament we actually found two fish that at least showed an interest in playing. There were lots of billfish out there, though. We were seeing them two or three at a time.
Have you run that "Fish Whistle" smoker I gave you at the Tournament dinner? It really gets their attention and causes a nice ruckus on the surface, then dives with a super smoke trail. Best run further back rather than short. It draws them right into the spread.
Both the wife and I wanted to pass along how great it was to finally meet you and Shannon. We had a wonderful time and wish you the best as new "full-time" San Carlos residents! Congratulations on living the dream! We hope to get there someday in the not too distant future. Of course, sitting here back in my reality know as "work" makes me want to just say to heck with all and make a beeline right back to San Carlos!

If Steve uses it then it must be a good lure. I have ordered lures from around the globe worth thousands of dollars over the years. Still my favorite is a green mold craft and it will catch fish. Marlin and Dorado. So Stuart lets see the real deal!
Steve,
I'll be down Wednesday and I need some ballyhoo. Remember I was the one that bought three packages in your office in Tucson a few weeks ago. Caught many fish on them. Where do I need to go?
Good Fishing,
Paul

For those interested in seeing Stuart's lures, his catalog is on our web site in pdf format. Visit http://www.sancarlosmexico.com/Dulcecita%20Catalog.pdf for pictures. Stuart if there is a more recent edition to the catalog please send the file to me so i can update the link.
Thanx

| Steve or Stuart which colors and style, is it the hawaiian with green stripping or does it vary??? I know for some reason I always had one or two lures that are the action getters, no matter what conditions. thanks john

Hey guys,
I'll get a couple pictures of the Fish Whistles up here later today. They are not in the catalog and I was testing them as prototypes on this past trip to San Carlos. Still trying to get everything in order here at home after being gone for 2 weeks!
And you can bet I'd rather be there!
Okay... here's the pics. These ones are sold -- the new owners of these lures are No Sniveling and Catch-22.

Thanks! The heads are hand-cast resin; the skirts are vinyl/silcone. They'll last a lifetime if you don't have too many Pacificos and drop them on a concrete or a tile floor!
I've bounced some off the deck of my boat with no ill effects. But, I have accidentally dropped some in the past on the saltillo tile in the kitchen and they cracked. Not shattered, just cracked the resin. If you're careful with them, they will last forever and look just as good.
If the marlin chew the skirts off them, or when the skirts get old and tattered, it's a simple matter to reskirt them and they're good as new again.

The way I usually part with really good lures is to see them headed for the horizon in the mouth of a really big fish!! @#$%$#@

I heard a famous local fishing pro recently parted company with a Pakula in unusual circumstances. Might just be a rumor.....
