I found SC in January, brought the boat down in Apri and we are coming to fish in a couple weeks. The regs state we are not supposed to filet the fish off shore but rather bring them to the marina. Is this different than the charter boats? All the times I've been to Cabo the mate always cleans the fish on the way in.
The regulations are the same. The smoked fish companies both in Cabo and East Cape have asked for and received an exception to this rule. The rule was inserted simply to provide work for locals.
