Last night between 9pm and 2am our 4 wheeler was stolen from right in front of our house at Bahia Bay.  The quad was parked about 25 ft from the front door and was locked up with a chain and lock.  Earlier in the day I had noticed a black chevy/gmc truck stopped in the upper south bound lane.  The driver was a 25'ish looking mexicano male and he was looking down toward the house. I "shoulda, coulda, woulda paid more attention, but had workers everywhere since we were just moving in the house.  Please be on the look out for a 2004 metallic orange polaris 4 wheeler.  It had "The Nut" stickers on it---probably no mas. UPDATE on Theft!  First, let me say the local policia were very nice and helpful, even going to Guaymas with "The Nut" to file a report with the federalies.  Now get this---this afternoon, while going through Empalme, "The Nut" spotted the four wheeler, chased the guy down and called the policia.  As I write they are sorting everything out, but apparantely the guy riding it bought it from a guy in a dark navy blue chevy today.  Lucky Lesson for us----chains and locks only keep honest people honest.;)

Hi Clicks,

This is great news.  When we first read your posting, we could truly empathize with you.  We had one of our Polaris' stolen two years ago and never did see it again.  The police were not of much help in our case.  Let's hope they track down the thieve(s) who stole it.  Your advice to everyone is well-founded.

Joe

Do not leave the bike. Stay there or the bike may be 'lost' before you return.

Yes.  We got the 4 wheeler back.  all is well.  The Guaymas newspaper ran an article on the recovery saying the cops spotted the moto and recovered it.....actually "The Nut"  spotted it, chased the guys down and called the cops.  Took from Friday til Monday to do the paper work in Empalme, but moto is back home.
