Hello All !!!
i just caught the tail end a news cast of ch.3 in PHOENIX,AZ. stating Hermosillo's airport is becoming an International Airport this friday and flights will be coming in from all over?....sorry for the lack of specifics at this time but thought you all might be able to elaborate...

| Hermosillo flights have been leaving for and arriving from the US for many many years so international is hardly news.

it seems this story is of new interest.. just thought it might be not "business as usual".... can anybody elaborate as it might be another option/CHEAPER than Guymas!!!

| Hermosillo has always been the bread and butter airport in this area. Guaymas has a deal now and then but nothing that can planned on. The cost by taxi and bus from Hermosillo is a few hundred pesos so if you are flying in, Hermosillo is almost always the way to go. If you do fly into Guaymas and take a taxi, that taxi will cost more than the bus from Hermosillo.

Hermosillo always was a International Airport. There is some Modernization going on and the new Goberment will try to get some Credit on that.
Like they invented the Airport ?!?!?!

| I know that Rocky Point is opening a new airport this week, perhaps that is what you saw on the news...

In Rocky point there is a new Airport , but the Bours had already a opening Fiesta there, Now Padres also can Open this Airport.
???!!!!!?????????
