PIRATES DAY PARADE. This event is open to all boats large and small and sponsored by the San Carlos Yacht Club including a blessing of the fleet. Decorated Boats will be judged and prizes awarded for the best boat and best costumes. Costumes will be judged at the Yacht Club following the parade. There will be Burgers and open Bar at reasonable prices. This is open house to the public and we encourage costumes. All Boats will round up outside Indian Head at 10 A.M. Saturday October 24th using channel 63. Approximate time on the water 2 hours. Last years event was really fun and even Elvis was spotted a couple of times and is expected again this year.......
Confirmed this morning. The Blessing of the Fleet is affirmative. The Padre will be on board the "Baroness". This not only is meant to keep you safe at at sea but some believe it greatly improves your catch. As you pass the Baroness you will receive the blessing and an opportunity to photograph your blessing...
