At the meeting, there were several officials from each department. Ranging from heads of the CEA, Police, Federales, Department of Health, Dept. of Civil Protection, Military, and others.

The agenda of the meeting was mainly to address the city's needs in this time of despair. Meeting minutes will be passed on to me at a later time which I will make available to you via this website.

The main concern for us San Carlos residents was the water issue. When Dr. Blanca Camacho (CEA) spoke, she mentioned the problems facing the CEA in delivering water to ALL communities, to include Guaymas, Empalme, San Jose, Santa Clara, San Carlos and the others.

Dr. Blanca Camacho also commented that the water for San Carlos will be restored to 30% capacity by the end of this week. Also that by the end of next week, it will be restored to 100%.
These were speculations but I asked her if she could keep us informed as this evolves throughout its completion.

Other important facts that were mentioned by Dr. Blanca Camacho were:
There is potable water for FREE at 2 locations in San Carlos, one at the corner of the Delfinario and the main blvd, the second  by the Country Club entrance.
Click here for map of the delfinario location
Water is expected to be available by tomorrow evening. It will be distributed in the evenings.
Once again, this is not to be considered drinking water, but potable water (i.e. shower, dishes, laundry, etc.) and this water should be used sparingly.

San Carlos residents have been requested to donate non-perishable food, can food, bread, rice, and beans or any kind of food. Also needed are items that can be used for people who have lost pretty much everything, blankets, bedding, clothes, beds, tables anything you can spare. Also needed are tools, shovels, wheelbarrows, picks, rakes etc, these items will be distributed by DIF which is an organization like our Red Cross. The items are to be dropped off in front of the CEA office in San Carlos. Click here for map. San Carlos residents are also needed by DIF to handout the items that have been collected.

Moreover, the bypass road that is now being used as our main road to and from Guaymas, will continually be maintained and cleared to make sure that gasoline trucks can deliver gas to San Carlos.

We will update the information as it is given to us. Stay tuned for more updates shortly.
