What documents are involved in the renewal of an FM3? Do we need to turn the current document in?
We have a short period of time to get this all accomplished and wonder if this is a sit down and wait task, or a leave the documents there and come back later.
Very few of the documents we have submitted have changed in any appreciable way.
Thanks in advance for any input.

| Certainly not a wait in the office renewal. Did ours in May took a month. You will have to leave it but they give you a "temp" to travel on---sort of ---maybe. Nothing has changed from a year ago as far as documentation "same O, same O".

Since time is of the essence consider paying Amelia at the papeleria (next to Evie's coffee) to do the renewal.
She knows what is needed, how many copies. etc............also submits the papers...................
This may save you a few extra trips to immigration.

I've renewed several times. Sometimes, new requirements are given. Recently, some have been asked to submit original marriage certificates/licenses upon renewal of their FM3's, even if they were not requested during the initial appication process.
I just received my renewed FM3 last Thursday morning. It took over 20 days.
