7 of us heading down 4th of July weekend. One of the people coming with us, her Birthday is July 4th. Can anyone recommend a bakery so we can buy her a B-day cake? Guaymas or San Carlos we will find it.
Also, we want to make a nice seafood dinner one of the nights we are there.
Last time we visited San Carlos we stopped of at Santa Rosa market and saw a seafood vendor next door but we did not purchase any at that time.
Has anyone bought from him or where else can we buy seafood?
Lastly, While Mrs Lufthomie is an excellent cook, would anyone like to share a recipe for a shrimp or scallop dish? We are thinking of Surf n Turf and would most probably get the meats from Santa Rosa.
Thanks for reading
Tom

Tony's is a great place to purchase shrimp and other seafood. The shrimp is delicious....

Good morning,
If you are coming down thru Cananea, remember the road construction. They are using very little water so it is very dusty and everyone is passing the trailers on this section. With all the dust, it is near zero visability at times and dangerous. Road is getting very bumpy.
Take care and have a good trip.

Hey Tim!
Thanks for the response. We figured we would go thru Nogales on our way to San Carlos but return thru Naco.
I don't find to much of a time save going thru Cananea as the trucks really do slow things down alot. Our thinking is that the only savings on the return is that the line at Naco is usually 1 or 2 cars on the return but I have seen the line to return in Nogales and it looks pretty long.

| I agree, Tony's is the best place to buy your seafood, he will also have all of the fresh vege's and fruit you will need. I have bought his steaks before and they are just as good as going to Rosa's. Tony' or one of the girls may be able to tell you where to get a b-day cake, I usually go to Guaymas, either of the grocery stores have nice bakeries.

Try Jax Snax for the cake (Wonderful) or try the little bakery next to Cheques Hot Dogs here in San Carlos. This is in the same location of Vinny's Sonoran Sport Center where you can book a half day catamaran trip
The seafood market outside of the Santa Rosa market is a good choice in buying seafood locally.
